Mixed rulings

A Mixed ruling means there is real human evidence behind the claim, but with clear limits: the trials are small or short, often funded by the maker, measure soft outcomes, or disagree with each other. Collagen drinks and copper peptide creams sit here, with measurable changes in hydration or elasticity in some studies and nothing like the change the packaging promises.

Mixed is not a polite word for false. It tells you the claim has a kernel worth knowing and a sales layer worth discounting. Each file in this column names what the studies did show, how big the effect was, and what would be needed to move the verdict up or down. Read the method for how the four verdicts are separated, or compare the weak rulings next door.
